WELCOME TO THE LIU LAB some_text

The Liu laboratory research is at the interface between chemistry and biology: developing small molecule-based tools to manipulate biological processes as well as small molecule-based novel therapies (chemo- and immune-therapies) for human diseases. Students with either synthetic organic or biological background can easily find a home and expand into the other side by collaborating with other colleagues in the Liu laboratory. There are two main research focuses: 1) Natural product biosynthesis, biosynthetic pathway engineering, and their applications; 2) Developing tools to study the complicated multi-layer cellular regulation mechanism (Epigenetics).
